Thanks for stopping by my website!

I wanted to approach this record like my heroes John Denver, Harry Chapin and Jim Croce -- very acoustic and simple.

For those of you who have followed my career, you know the song “I Hear A Clock." Well, that clock has stopped ticking. On August 15, 2007, my little girl, Jennings, was born and what a blessing she has been. It seemed appropriate to re-release “I Hear A Clock." The unconditional love and support from Jeannie and Jennings is what motivates me now.

So many people gave their time and talents and I would like to acknowledge them.

I want to thank my good friend Wayne Baird for helping me make my vocals the best they have ever been. Wayne’s talents of engineering, vocal producing and mixing raised the proverbial bar.

Wayne has a studio on Music Row that offers great productions. His sensitivity, patience and attention to detail ultimately awarded me with the quality I was hoping for.

Merry and Lloyd Strauss -- Thank you for your selflessness and willingness to help with my dream.

Brad & Beth Gilchrest -- “The Nancy Comic Strip” was a wonderful highlight of my life!

Steve Sharp of Sharp Objects -- Thanks for believing.

Manuel -- Thanks for the coaching on the Spanish songs. ... It’s my pleasure to call you a friend. (Manuel is the famous "Manuel," who designs all the clothes/jackets for the stars.)

Shelley Andrews and Steve -- Thank you!

Karen Wojcik-Hess - Thank you!

Kathy Wishard -- Thank you!

Thanks to the Tuites, The Newmans, the Wheelers, the Decks, the Becks and the Schwartzes.

Jon Michaels' "Lonely Man"

Lonely Man
Nothing as lonely as a lonely man
And only his woman can
Heal the heart of a lonely man.
He’ll pound the whiskey and the walls,
Call his mama who he never calls,
Crank the car and hit the gas,
Take the curves just a little fast.
It’s an engine burning pain
Driving him insane
To anywhere but here,
To anyplace to hide the tears of a
Lonely man.

Nothing as lonely as a lonely man
And only his woman can
Heal the heart of a lonely man.
When he walks in, play it cool
'cause he feels like such a fool.
He’s not looking for a fight
But he might welcome one tonight.
Act as everything’s O.K.
But don’t dare mention her name
‘cause there is nothing worse
Than to add to the hurt of a
Lonely man.

Nothing is as lonely as a lonely man
And only his woman can
Heal the heart of a lonely man.
Someday he may love again
But God only knows when,
When she’ll come sneaking up
And lay a little love
On a lonely man.

"New Shade of Blue" Lyrics

The rumors abound,
Talk all over this small town.
People say I’m over you;
They say I look great
And on occasion see me out on a date.
But what they all see ain't all true ...

I’m just a new shade of blue.
I’m moving on but I’m missing you.
I’m doing fine, cradled in the healing hands of time.
I’m not over you; I’m just a new shade of blue.

I saw you today down at our favorite corner cafe
By candlelight at a table for two.
I caught your eye,
We waved hello, we waved goodbye.
You walked away.
That's when I knew ...

I’m just a new shade of blue.
I’m moving on but I’m missing you.
I’m doing fine, cradled in the healing hands of time.
I’m not over you; I’m just a new shade of blue.

"I Hear A Clock" Lyrics

In my 20s and 30s
It was my work,
That was all that mattered to me.
I didn’t have time
For anything else,
Like a wife or a family.
But lately, just lately,
What used to be important
Isn't what's important to me.

I want to walk my daughter down the aisle,
Teach my son to hit a baseball a country mile,
Rock my baby to sleep while were watching TV
Like loving daddies do.
'Cause it’s not just the woman that runs out of time
I hear a clock ticking ,too.

When there’s no one to share it
What’s it’s all for?
How much does a lonely man need?
I’ve lived life being selfish
And I don’t want to stay
In a world that revolves around me.
So lately, just lately,
What use to be important
Isn’t what’s important to me.
I want to walk my daughter down the aisle,
Teach my son to hit a baseball a country mile,
Rock my baby to sleep while were watching TV
Like loving daddies do.
'Cause it’s not just the woman that runs out of time.

I hear a clock ticking
deep in my soul,
Saying before I’m too old
There’s one thing I’m longing to do.
'Cause it’s not just the woman that runs out of time.
I hear a clock ticking.
I hear a clock ticking.

"Cuando Caliente El Sol" Lyrics

Cuando caliente el sol aquí en la playa,
Siento tu cuerpo vibrar cerca de mi;
Es tu palpitar, es tu cara, es tu pelo
Son tus besos, me estremezco, oh oh oh!

Cuando caliente el sol aquí en la playa
Siento tu cuerpo vibrar cerca de mi;
Es tu palpitar, tu recuerdo, mi locura,
mi delirio, me estremezco, oh oh oh!

Cuando caliente el sol
... aquí en la playa...
... cerca de mi...
Es tu palpitar...(se repite)

Love me with all your heart;
That’s all I want, love.
Love me with all of your heart
Or not at all.
Don’t give me your love
For a moment or an hour. Love me always,
As you loved me from the start --
With every beat of your heart.

"I'll Be There For You" Lyrics

When the dark clouds fill your sky
Tears start falling from your eyes
and your feeling lost and all alone
Where ever in this world you are
I will be your northern star
showing you the way to get back home

Darling, I,
I‘ll be there for you
Like a light
From a harbor in the storm
And I’ll be strong ands true
When ever you need me too
I'll be there for you.

The morning sun comes shinning through
I am lying next to you
Heaven is you next to me
and as you're sleeping soft and sound
I’ll placed a kiss upon your brow
And whisper these words into your dreams

Darling, I,
I‘ll be there for you
Like a light
From a harbor in the storm
And I’ll be strong ands true
When ever you need me too
I'll be there for you.

By your side
Everyday, every night
Holding you, loving you
in my heart.....darling

"Shangri-La" Lyrics

Loving you’s like an island,
A tropical paradise,
Palm trees swaying, dolphins playing and
Long walks in the moonlight.
Loving you’s like a mountain,
A cathedral above the clouds,
Sunlit meadows, greens and yellows,
And waiting for echoes to come back around.

La la la la la Shangri la la la la
Is whereever we are and whatever we do.
La la la la la Shangri la la la la
Is me in love with you.
I can't stop smiling;
You’re everything I adore.
When you kiss me
Babe, it's simply
The Garden of Eden; it's heaven and more.
(Bridge)
A faraway hideaway, magical place loving you takes me to. What can I say?
(Tag)
It’s me in love with nothing but blue skies,
73 degrees out in the sunshine,
Lying in a hammock, everything is perfect
With me in love with you.

"Fallen" Lyrics

Pardon me, I didn’t mean to stare,
But there’s something about you, I swear.
I swear this is the very first time
I felt such passion from a pair of eyes.

I’m fallen like an old oak tree,
Slayed by your enchanting beauty,
Enraptured, captured by your charm.
It’s been said and I’ve been told
When it happens, I will know.
And it has 'cause I am so
Fallen.

Pardon me if I’ve said too much,
but my words could never say enough
to show you what you’ve done for me.
I lay my heart down at your feet.

I’m fallen like an old oak tree,
Slayed by your enchanting beauty,
Enraptured, captured by your charm.
It’s been said and I’ve been told
When it happens, I will know.
And it has 'cause I am so
Fallen
Soon this evening will end;
I may never see you again.
Well, at least you known I’ve been fallen.

"Forever To Be Yours" lyrics

We started out as friends.
We shared a laugh and then
Unexpectedly,
Fate brought what was meant to be.
Today I’m so proud
I say out loud to you
When asked to take your hand:
That is my life's plan
Forever to be yours.

Te doy me alma,
Te doy me corazon.
Te quiero para siempre
Y nunca te dejare.
La luna y las estrellas
Que brillan en el cielo
Como mi amor para ti.
Mi padre sere mi destigo
Siempre sere tuyo
Y tu siempre sere mia.
The moon and the stars
That shine from up above
Shine as true as my love.
In witness of our lord,
I will always be yours
And you will always be mine.
When asked to take your hand,
That is my life's plan:
Forever to be yours.

"Mother Trucker" Lyrics

Eighteen wheels of Peterbilt steel,
winding, grinding, hauling up a hill --
Texas tomatoes, Idaho potatoes,
On time coast to coast, Canada to Mexico.
Ooh, ooh

She's a gear-jamming mama.
Biloxi born and raised,
Easy on the eyes. Boys, get out of her way.
It's all about her babies; she ain't looking for a lover.
She isn't just a mother;
She's a mother trucker.

Her husband was a cheater; a time or two, he beat 'er.
Third time's the last time he laid a finger on her.
Highway patrol and police, they know
But they look the other way and say
Roll, mama, roll.
ooh ohh

She's a gear-jamming mama, Biloxi born and raised,
Easy on the eyes. Boys, get out of her way.
It's all about her babies; she ain't looking for a lover.
She ain't just a mother;
She's a mother trucker.

She can overhaul a diaper or Detroit diesel any day.
Covered up in grease or rouge on her cheeks,
She's a woman either way.

Four-hundred horses and only eight brakes,
One-hundred thousand pounds rolling down an 8 percent grade.
Five-hundred miles till the day is done,
Two babies on board and one, only one.

Chasing Dreams Lyrics

A little boy 10 years old
Falls asleep to his radio,
Dreaming someday he’d be a star --
Admired, adored, a troubadour
For the whole world to see.
But his little eyes could not foresee
Chasing dreams isn’t everything it seems.
The only thing certain is uncertainty.
There’s highs and lows,
Seldom yeses and so many nos.
But still he goes
Chasing dreams

Every day, nine to five,
He’d pick up little jobs
just to try to survive.
Nights, he’d play the bars.
The years rolled on;
He struggled along,
Writing down his feelings in his lyrics and songs.
What in the world was taking so damn long?

(Chorus)
His life has been an uphill climb.
Still he believes it’s just a matter of time;
He’s got a wife who tells him so.
Though he’s no little boy, how he still enjoys
Falling asleep to his radio.
But through the years he’s come to know ...
(Chorus)

Every Friday night,
We’ve been making eyes
From way across the room.
I stop and stare, you twirl your hair;
Now what’s a boy to do?
All our friends are talking 'bout the way we both pretend.
It’s time to face the fact
we can’t keep these feelings in.

(Chorus)
Tell me, who are we fooling?
Time has come to face the truth.
You can see it’s you I'm wanting;
I can see you want me, too.
So tell me, who’s fooling who?

Out of the corner of my eye,
I see you getting some advice from all your friends
And all the boys are back behind me,
Pushing me to make the first attempt.
This tension between us,
It taunts and teases.
Let’s cut right to the chase
And call it like it is.

(Chorus)

"You Never Know" Lyrics

You never know what lies ahead,
Who’s waiting in the wings,
Whose brief hello and simple smile
Changes everything.
You can’t see who’s just around the bend,
First a stranger, then acquaintance, then a lifelong friend.

Life is indeed a mystery
And that’s how it’s meant to be.
Left up to fate, left up to chance,
So everyday's a brand new dance.
The highs and lows, they’ll come and they’ll go.
You’ve got to hang on, learn to let go,
'Cause any minute, while you’re in it,
Life can change and you just never know.

You never know as the seconds pass
What fate has up her sleeve;
So take comfort, in the comfort,
We’re where we’re supposed to be.
Life keeps us guessing and that’s so apropos
For the truth of never knowing Fills our lives with hope.

Life is indeed a mystery
And that’s how it’s meant to be,
Left up to fate, left up to chance,
So every day's a brand new dance.
The highs and lows, they’ll come and go;
You’ve got to hang on, learn to let go,
'Cause any minute, while were in it,
Life can change and you just never know.

"Until We Meet Again" Lyrics

We never did say goodbye
But that’s how it goes.
You went away,
You couldn’t stay;
Now, I miss you so.
In my solitude,
I feel you still,
Knowing you always will be there
And everywhere
Watching over me, until we meet again.

Letting go is killing me
But it needs to be done.
You taught me, too,
You knew this day would come.
So it is and so I’m moving on,
Knowing you're just beyond the stars,
Holding my heart,
Watching over me,
Until we meet again.

Ash to ash, dust to dust,
We live, we die, each one of us.
We feel the loss, but that’s the cost of life, Sweet life, sweet life.
One breath at a time
Is all I can do.
Every setting sun, every brand new dawn,
I’m closer to you.

As I gaze into the sky tonight,
That first bright light
I see, I know will be
You watching over me until we meet again.

Just keep watching over me
Until we meet again.
