My 2nd semester just ended yesterday...YAY!!! *grin* Anyways, I was just looking at the latest entries in your guestbook and it got me thinking about your song "I am Who I am". I can still remember the first time I heard it and thought that if it was from a daughter to her father it would be a PERFECT wedding song for the bride and her father to dance to... just another view to show you how you REALLY tapped into that bond that parents and kids have. Thats one of the things I love most about your music...it connects with peoples hearts and souls, and EVERYONE can relate to each and every song in some way. Keep the hits coming!!! You're a wonderful singer, musician and composer, but perhaps, more profoundly, you are a gifted storyteller. I've ordered both your CD's and look forward to your future creations. I love to tears the song you wrote and dedicated to your mom and was sad to learn today, while checking your website for the first time, that she has moved on-- sad for you, but happy for her to be able to go home, really home. I just loved the song I am who I am I sent it to my mother in law for Mothers Day from my husband. I would like to talk to you about possibly doing a charity event next December for a support group called SHARE. This is a group for parents who have lost children thru miscarriage, still birth, neonatal loss, and SIDS. I am the vice president and would love to talk with you further about this. I would also like to know if you have written any songs about the loss of a child. I have lost 5 sons. A set of twins in 2001 at 16 weeks, a singleton in 2002 to heart problems 8 days after birth at 33 1/4 week gestation, and last June of 2005 another set of twins at 26 weeks gestation they lived 3 days and died from complications of TWIN to TWIN Transfusion sydrome. I have one living daughter who will be 6 in October and I thank GOD daily for her and for the time I had with all my sons.
