Beautiful song. That is a real inspiration to know that as the days may seem to difficult to get through that one day my kids too will understand/respect....what it is to be "a single mom".

Jon, you ask for thoughts on miss fannie. that is a very easy one on my part. each time you come to texas i get a chance to know you a little more. you relate to me another story about fannie that always brings a smile to my face and my heart. from the first time i heard fannie it has become my personel favorite. i am able to recall the times i had with my own aunt, we always called her Neats,(Aunt Neats) and believe me she was neat. in her late years she needed a little help climbing the stairs at my folks home, so i would swoop her up in my arms and carry her up. i would lean over and growl in her ear, which made her giggle all the way up. she always had a great attitude now matter what. everyone who came near her began to smile. this is the reason that each time i hear fannie a tear rolls down my cheek. this song will always echo in my mind.
