My history with Jon...I heard Jon's voice coming from the livingroom on Sunday. I was in the middle of paying bills and I had to find out who he was. I dropped what I was doing and came in to see him singing on Christina Cooks. The song was catchy, his voice was excellent and he had stage pressense/charm. Since I was online, I looked up the site. It's a good site, full of good feelings for him...he must be pretty special to many of you. I ordered the CD and I am waiting for it to arrive. I know I like his voice and I hope I enjoy the other songs as much as everyone else does. I too am a single mom..but I haven't heard his single mom song yet. From what everyone says here it must have a real impact and I will have to check it out. Being a single mom is not for sissies, that's for sure...but the rewards you will find in your children and in your own enriched spirit are beyond compare! (Coming from 7 years happily independant with my teenage daughter.) Smile ladies...it's going to be fine...you have special angels that watch over you. I am listening to you on Writer's Block (for those reading the guestbook who don't know about it, it's on WDVX-FM 89.9 in Clinton TN, or wdvx.com, 10 PM on Wednesdays)not live or I would have tried to win the cd, but on tape, which I routinely record because I'm usually putting my sons to bed (or asleep with them) during the show. I am really impressed with your smoothness and professionalism, the sincerity and quality of the songs, and your voice. I have to agree with her that you should have a bright future. Next time I go to Nashville and have a chance to catch a show at Douglas Corner I'll try to catch you there. Your bio info about being a Medic First Aid Instructor and PADI Scuba Instructor and your work with Meals on Wheels, as well as the sensitivity to single moms suggest to me the Fred Eaglesmith song "A Pretty Good Guy". It's nice to see folks who are good examples in the music business. And yes, I'm the Peter whom Karen mentioned on the show.
