I am a single mom, sitting here on my 38th birthday. I have cried a bit today, my kids are off at school, all 4 forgot or are waiting till later to say happy birthday. Tears of sadness..a bit of depression. Then I went The Single Mom's forum and found a link to your site. WOW, I pray my kids someday feel that way about me! Most of it fits so well, except I am a single mom 4 kids, no job (disabled) and also just alone. Oh how many times now ex bosses and other People have thought I was easy, or men ask me out then freak when finding out I am a proud Single Mom. AND you even got the part about being poor yet making it last! Although I am now shedding tears for the good feeling your song gave me, I rarely take time to cry also. I almost feel you know me for the song was so similar to my experience as a Single mom! Thank you for making me smile today, I plan to purchase your CD as soon as I can afford! What a beautiful song- "I am what I am" - I have a 5 year old son and I hope that I can live my life so that he feels that way about me when he is grown. I am so glad I found your site - I was looking for Mother's Day gifts and your name and the song was mentioned on the Everything Mother's Day website.
