Jon, Just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for your song, "Single Mom". I am a single mom of 4 - not by choice, but by circumstances. I chose to adopt my 2 nieces 4 years ago, when my sister chose drugs and booze over her children. When my ex husband gave me the choice of the marriage or the girls, I never had a 2nd thought. In August, 2002, I became a single mother of the 4 most wonderful girls in the world. We have struggled, but I never regretted my choices while raising my 2 daughters and 2 nieces. Of course, I could've had the "big house" and "big money" if I had chosen to look the other way, but we're probably the happiest family in Florida just the way we are. I am so very thankful that inspiration such as your song, Single Mom, have been out there for me in the low times. I am now looking at also adopting my 4 wk old nephew, who is also suffering from his mother's drug abuse. And when I think I'm too "overwhelmed" to take another step, I think of those song lyrics and pull myself up by the boot straps to get myself on the right track again! Thank you again for everything.
